Come watch, run or volunteer at our races!
Our races are held the first Saturday of November and May. Mark your calendar and come join us as a participant, a spectator or a volunteer. Click here for more information about the Harbert Lumber Fall 5K or the Wondergirl 5K. If you are interested in volunteering on race day, please e-mail race director Kathaleen Recker.

Become a Site Liaison
Volunteer Site Liaisons provide a valuable link between our Regional Directors and our sites. They are responsible for the following:

  • Complete site application (about 2-3 minutes); gain signature of principal in support of hosting Girls on the Run (GOTR) or Girls on Track (GOT)
  • Attend informational meeting held in November (spring season) or May (fall season)
  • Pick up registration packet and all materials necessary to register participants
  • Distribute registration materials to girls who will be in third through fifth grade (GOTR) or sixth thru eighth grade (GOT) at the time of the season.
  • If needed, assist regional Director in securing a time for an informational assembly or other publicity.
  • Collect registrations / review for accuracy and complete check-list to verify completion of information on registration forms; follow-up with families if necessary
  • Where possible, assist Regional Director in the recruitment of at least two coaches for the site
  • Meet coaches prior to the start of the season
  • Keep in contact with regional director regarding registration problems or need for additional publicity
  • Provide occasional feedback to GOTR® organization
  • Champion the GOTR program at your site and have fun!
